Meditation: A Massage for Your Spirit & Food for the Soul

“In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.”~Tony Robbins

Although the real events of the solar eclipse, lunar eclipse and Venus transit are behind us, the effects on our lives linger and continue in full force. For many it felt (and still feels) like being catapulted into a ginormous growth period. It not only feels that way, it IS that way.

If you normally take ‘baby steps’ forget it! You took a astrologically imposed LEAP and that leap may have knocked you off-balance and caused your head to spin. It’s important when this happens to take time to reorganize, get your feet back on the ground and care for your spirit. It’s time to fill up all those places where you released while you were flying through the air. If you’re feeling tired, depleted, stagnant or stuck it’s time to get back to basics, fill up and pamper your spirit!

We all know how important it is to take care of our physical bodies. Eating right, physical activity and yes even getting enough rest to recharge and refuel are all a part of caring for the body but what about your spiritual essence? Your spirit needs the very same thing in a slightly different format to stay healthy and in a state of ease. How are you caring for your spirit? What are you doing each day to nourish your spirit and soul? Just as the body needs to eat, move, ‘do’, rest, recharge and fuel,  your spirit needs to play, create, heal, rest and be calm.

When you go for a massage you pamper your the body and it can certainly be a spiritual experience but how many of us can afford to get a massage every day? Massaging and feeding your spirit is free and all it takes is a ‘meditation a day’!  The challenge of course is making the time to sit down and DO IT but I guarantee the more you do it the better you’ll feel, the more space you’ll have and the faster you’ll move through a difficult growth period. Your ability to create is enhanced and by creating more space for yourself, you create space for your dreams to manifest. Meditation massages and feeds your soul by giving you a spa like moment of peace. You step out of the problems and challenges of daily life and in doing this your overall perspective will change.

On an energy level EVERYTHING changes when you incorporate daily meditation into your schedule. You heal and expand as spirit, bring more of your energy into your body and re-establish your footing. It allows you to refocus your mind and recharge your body as well. Now I clearly hear you saying how you don’t have time  but who’s going to make the time for you if you don’t? It is not enough to take a few minutes in the shower. Your spirit is committed to you until it decides to step out of the body but are you committed to your spirit? Have you ever noticed what happens when you trip and fall or have some sort of accident? In addition to skinning your knee, bumps and bruises you become acutely aware of your surroundings. Why not sit down and quiet your mind, clear out what is not you and say HELLO to your spiritual essence instead of being catapulted to do so?

If your truly want to direct your life and create it the way YOU want it massage and feed your spirit every day. As Tony Robbins says in the opening quote “…It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently” and that includes taking time to recharge and refuel both body AND spirit each day! What are you waiting for? Schedule your spiritual massage right now. No time like the present!~Shine Your Light Debbie
