Did you turn off your ability to ‘see’?

The term psychic comes from the Greek and by definition means ‘of the soul’. There are many mis-conceptions about the term ‘psychic’ and having psychic abilities. There are several very talented psychics out there who predict the future and that’s great but what about using and opening up to YOUR abilities in the present?

Everyone has and already uses at least one or two of their psychic abilities. If you’ve ever walked into a room and felt uncomfortable or just ‘had a bad feeling’ about something you are using your intuition.  Intuition is one ability and another is the ability to see energy. Those of you who practice holding an image in your mind are using your ability to see!

The question in the title asks “did you turn off your ability to see” but it might be more appropriate to ask WHEN did you turn it off? You had this ability when you were born and as you grew up you were probably invalidated for using it. Most children have their abilities ‘turned off’ at a very young age for various reasons. A child sees or senses something and in their innocence usually blurt out what they see whether it is proper to do so or not. They also see things that their parents don’t want them to see.

At a very young age we begin to invalidate what we are seeing as real because we’re told it’s our imagination, we’re crazy, wrong or we’re not really seeing it and the more we are told this the less we trust it. If you happen to ‘see’ something you’re not supposed to energy gets thrown directly at your 6th chakra. It’s hard to ‘see’ with a big blob on your third eye!

Open your inner eyes and see!

As with all your psychic abilities you need to feel safe and trust what you are experiencing. Let’s face it, in the world today there are things we choose not to see. We are lied to by our politicians, employers, friends and those with an agenda. We don’t want to see pain, suffering, poverty or that someone we love is not being truthful. There are times we don’t want to see ourselves and own our own truth. It’s not always comfortable to see the truth so it takes courage to turn this ability on.

When you see clearly, you begin to separate the truth from the lies and this includes those lies you’ve told yourself or bought into. Looking at yourself is the first step toward opening your inner eyes again. You’ll be amazed at how much clarity you gain by merely deciding and giving yourself permission to see!

Just for fun, close your eyes for a sec and create a mental image picture of a rose. See it clearly with its petals, stem, leaves and even thorns. Can you see it? Now, allow all that ‘stuff’ on your third eye that says you are wrong and you can’t see to go into the rose then like magic make the rose disappear. Believe it or not you just used your psychic ability to see and cleared some energy in the process!

How simple and fun was that? The truth is, it really is that simple! The more you clear and access your own abilities, the easier it is and the more you will trust what you see. You are not wrong for seeing, it’s not your imagination AND you may be psychic not crazy!~Shine Your Light Debbie

Communication Nation~

The very first words spoken on the telephone by Alexander Graham Bell to his assistant in 1876 were “Mr. Watson, come here I need you.”  In 1928 my Grandfather, Maurice Bank, completed a design for the first two-way speaker system then invented and held the first patent for the intercom in 1933.  “Press a button and you’re there” was the ad. These things along with many others were invented to make communication easier and more efficient. Of course, we’ve come a long way since then. Now if you need someone or something, you simply send a text from your phone! Our world has truly become one big communication nation.

Although we have the ability to connect and communicate with people in ways we never thought possible this has also moved our attention and focus outside of ourselves. We have become a world nation of “first responders” instead of responding to ourselves first! Communication is easier but we are now more disconnected than ever. There are more filters in place and it is easy to misunderstand someone or be misunderstood. With so much of our time communicating through something else we have moved away from our most valuable connection; the connection that creates body/spirit communication.

When was the last time you said “Hello” to yourself and asked YOU how you are doing? The simple act of saying hello to yourself  opens a line of communication within. It starts a process of you discovering who you really are. When you  acknowledge yourself as spirit, you pave the way to give and receive a spirit to spirit hello from others! The best way I know to begin re-connecting is with meditation.

Meditation is a time for you to communicate with YOU.  It’s about re-booting, so to speak; separating from those other things shouting for your attention and discovering not only what your spirit wants you to know but what your body needs. It is a time to connect to and be in communication with the earth and the God of your heart. A time to connect with your body. A time to listen quietly for the messages you receive on a daily basis. How you communicate with others is directly related to how you communicate with yourself. Can you hear you?  Do you take time out of your day to find out how you are and what YOU need? If you ever have communication challenges with others, take a moment to look at how you are communicating with yourself.

It is said that necessity is the mother of invention but to be in communication with YOU there is nothing to invent! There are no filters, no waiting for response, nothing to buy, no misunderstandings. There is however, clarity, awareness and a sense of peace.  All that is necessary is for you to turn you attention within. Think of it this way; no one has ever said it’s dangerous to have clarity, awareness and a sense of peace while driving. 🙂 .~Shine Your Light Debbie
