You’ve got the Inside Scoop!

“Be at least as interested in what goes on inside you as what happens outside. If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place.” ~ Eckhart Tolle

Each of us is a curious being. We love to know what’s going on with everyone else and in the world at large. There are times we get into everyone else’s business and soak it up…sometimes literally!

We tune in to (so-called) reality TV, read the rag mags about celebrity lives and scour the internet for the latest gossip. Attention goes to politics, the economy, the newest technology and of course with social media we know what our friends are doing at any given moment of the day.  Yes, we are curious beings with inquiring minds and we want to know. 🙂

Have you ever  added up all the time you spend looking ‘outside’ of yourself? In just the last 24 hours how much time did you spend on the internet, texting to find out ‘what’s going on’, watching the news, gossiping around the water cooler or daydreaming about what your life would be like if you won the lottery?

Now, how much time in the last 24 hours have you spent quietly looking to see what’s going on ‘inside’?  What’s the inside scoop? Are you as curious and  interested in what’s going on inside as you are about what’s going on outside of you? I can tell you with a degree of certainty that what’s going on inside is infinitely more interesting than what is going on outside!

There is so much to uncover and discover when you open up to seeing what lies within! When you really SEE and embrace what a magnificent being you are invalidation falls away. Life seems to move along more smoothly. There is no need to worry about the past or the future because you are in the present.

You have the ability within to create  AND the ability to handle whatever comes your way. If you are unhappy with where you are or your life is throwing you life lessons you can take the steps to change it by finding out just as much about YOU as you know about your favorite celebrity. Those lessons may very well be for you to discover how strong you really are!

Allow your inquiring mind with all its curiosity to look inside. If there’s something that doesn’t feel good, it’s probably not yours so clear it out. Heal yourself and your life by getting to know YOU.

“Be at least as interested in what’s going on inside as what happens outside”.  Think of it as if you were the star of your own reality TV show; It’s called “Your Life” and it’s on the discovery channel! Go ahead! You know you want to look! ~Shine Your Light Debbie

The Benefits of ‘Home’ Ownership

Artwork by Amy Justen "De Brasil con Amor" Collection

To own your own home is a wonderful thing. After all, you OWN it! It is your space. You can decorate to your heart’s content. Re-decorate at any time and if you are so inclined, you can completely demolish and reconfigure the whole thing!

There are many benefits to owning your home but of course, there is the responsibility for the upkeep as well. Things get old and need replacing. It has to be cleaned, vacuumed and at times, you must remove unwanted “guests” such as spiders or other nasty little free loaders.

Those of you who often read my blog can probably already guess where I’m going with this. If you are a new reader, welcome to “Daily Muse” and please read on. 🙂

Whether or not you own the ‘place’ where you live, you already have your own home. Home really IS where the heart is!Your home is your BODY and there are amazing benefits to owning it and being HOME.

Your home is your sanctuary. A place to rest and be yourself. Your home holds your answers. When you own your home which includes the space within & around it, there is ease. It is a comfortable place for your spirit to live.

When was the last time you checked in with yourself to see what is inside? When you look there do you find it decorated to someone else’s tastes? Is it a comfortable place? Does it feel safe to be there? Do you mindlessly pick up the mail (other energy) and leave it any old place? Do you take your home for granted?

Just like owning the place you live, there are benefits AND the responsibility of caring for it. How often do you tend to your own needs and what your body wants? Are you getting enough rest? Taking time to de-stress? Do you have so much of your attention outside of you that you forget to come home?

I’ve always foumd it interesting when someone says to me that they don’t have time for themselves. Here’s a newsflash…YOU need to MAKE time for you to come home! No one else can do this for you. If you’re saying ‘I’ll be home for Christmas’ why not come home NOW?

Your spiritual essence is very smart! If ‘home’ needs redecorating, there are guests that are still there from the party last week, or dare I say unwanted guests that came to the party and never left, your spirit is going to hang around until you clear out a space for it to come home to!

One way to describe ‘hanging around’ is that spaced out feeling, as if you are watching yourself in a dream. When you bring yourself back home you find clarity, you are alert, have more energy and awareness increases.

All you have to do is take a few moments each day to clean out, update and take notice of what is really YOU in there! Cleaning is good for the soul and you have the ABILITY & RIGHT to clear out anything you want to! Your body is YOURS so OWN it! Your body..Your space…Your HOME.~Shine Your Light Debbie
