In the northern hemisphere September 23rd marks the vernal, or autumnal equinox; The beginning of fall and the autumn harvest. Have you ever heard ‘you reap what you sow’? Fall is a wonderful time to take a closer look at life’s harvest.

Did you plant any seeds in your garden of life that are ready for harvest? Is some of your crop still in a growth cycle and not quite ripe enough to pick? Are there bulbs you’d like to plant so they can flower in the future?

Harvest and planting is a perfect metaphor for life. It gets one to thinking about what it is that we are reaping NOW in our lives, what is still in process and what seeds we would like to plant for the future. 🙂

If you are focused on things that happened in the past, worrying about the future or current problems, you are not planting seeds for the future. All creating happens in the present and your ‘vision’ is the seed to plant. If you don’t have a dream, you can’t plant the seed!

Whatever you are harvesting now, take a moment to reflect on what type of seeds you planted and all that happened after you planted them. Did you water the garden? Clear out the aphids? Fertilize?

Once you plant the seeds for what you want, if you are aware and paying attention, you are given information on the steps you need to take to reap a bountiful harvest. This information is useful and can point you in the right direction! Are you heeding the signs?

It may be as simple as your intuition telling you to take a different route home or something more profound like getting the flu so you have to stay home and care for yourself. It could also be a nagging feeling that doesn’t go away until you pay attention to it.

The universe works in collaboration with you and you really do reap what you sow! If you are not happy with your harvest, what steps are you willing to take so that once you plant the seeds you are able to recognize what your garden needs to nurture it? There is no quick fix!

While there are instances of immediate gratification, growth takes time and care. It may be that you don’t really want to take the steps and that’s OK. It’s where you are. BUT if you aren’t happy with the way things are going, take some time to turn within to look at what type of seeds you planted and how you cared for your garden.

Whether you are reaping the rewards of your harvest or deciding to plant different seeds it’s time for your garden to flourish! Harvest then plant new seeds to move on! “Fall” in love! “Fall” into a fresh cycle! “Fall” into fun! “Fall” into a new YOU reaping a bountiful harvest!~Shine Your Light Debbie

The New Year is almost upon us! Where did the time go? Every year it seems as if time is moving faster. Wasn’t it just yesterday we were celebrating 2009? For me, the week between Christmas and New Years is one of reflection and calling back my energy from the past year. This year with Mercury in Retrograde there is even greater opportunity to revisit and gain a deeper insight from past experiences. Admittedly I’m no expert on Mercury Retrograde but it definitely effects technology, communication and allows us to reflect on the lessons we might have missed so we can begin to move forward again. Then, of course, it’s time to CELEBRATE AND RING IN THE NEW YEAR! So…let go of the old, call back energy from the past year (or even the past decade :-)) and ring in the NEW with style!

Now I know you’re planning to be dressed in your finest! Dressed to the 9’s to usher in a new decade! What if I told you that you can also be cloaked in the most beautiful bright multi colored gold you’ve ever seen?! Like the Kings & Queens of old, you can make your appearance surrounded in gold! Yes, you heard me, the most flattering and beautiful thing you can do is to get a hold of one of these gold bubbles! I know ringing in a new year is exciting but this only takes a moment! 🙂 Whatever comes up for you LET IT GO! It’s in the past! No time like the present to lighten your load! As an aside, if you are making a resolution to lose weight this can be particularly effective. Once you let go, you can bring back all that is YOURS! Your energy is light and bright! Begin to call back any of your energy that may have been left behind and surround yourself in a gold bubble of light. Expand that bubble and see it get brighter! Feel the light around you! If you choose, you can even allow all those gold sparkles to flow through you! Feel the excitement in the air as you prepare to move forward into A BRAND NEW YEAR! Fill up every fiber in your being! The more of your energy you have, the more you will have to CREATE MORE! While you’re doing this, why not have a look at something AMAZING you’d like to create for the year! See it in all its beauty and perfection! Surround that in a gold bubble as well! From your own bright bubble let your creation float off into the universe and see what happens! Wow! Check YOU out…you’re all gold & sparkly AND you’ve already started creating for the New Year!

In 1850, Alfred, Lord Tennyson wrote “Ring out the old, ring in the new. Ring, happy bells, across the snow: The year is going, let him go; Ring out the false, ring in the true.” Your energy and all that you are IS true! So, before you dress in your most elegant clothes, dress yourself in your energy! The explosion of light you will be sporting will be brighter than the fireworks! Celebrate the New Year by celebrating and honoring YOU and your beautiful spirit!
