If you’ve felt disoriented, mis-understood, confused or you are swimming in self-doubt this is the reason!
The good news about the retrograde phase is we have an opportunity to heal our deepest fears, bring conclusion to unresolved conflicts and release ourselves from past trauma or pain that limits our current experience.
When Mercury is in retrograde there are slow downs and delays which naturally guide us to review and reflect on different areas of our past. We are gifted with extra time to revisit projects that were started and never finished and we are urged to review and polish up current projects. The positives far outweigh the negatives here. As we revisit, we might find (and are able to correct) errors not previously noticed.
The retrograde phase gives us ample opportunity to re-kindle our inner flame and add passion and faith to our hopes and dreams. It also allows us to connect with people, places and joy-filled memories from our past.
So often we get caught up in the negative aspects of this particular time yet when we use it for self-healing by reflecting, re-grouping, re-vamping and re-kindling our passion, we are able to re-energize so we are ready to slowly move forward when Mercury goes direct on January 25. (Note: Be aware the effects of Mercury Rx will continue to a lesser degree for a few weeks after it goes direct)
Freedom begins with healing your past and Mercury Retrograde is the perfect time to do the work since the energy is naturally lit up and intensified. If you have the courage and awareness to look (from a neutral space) at the energy coming up it is easily released!
The reason many people have such a difficult time during Mercury Retrograde is not because of the slow down or the challenges presented. They have difficulty because they are resisting the intense, and sometimes painful, energy that is coming up for them.
If you find yourself resisting and in fear instead of embracing the time and using it as powerful time for self-healing simply take a breath and acknowledge what you are feeling then release it. It’s important to acknowledge how you are feeling. There is a lot of information in those feelings so notice and recognize them.
Everyone can use the power of Mercury Retrograde for self-healing. Take extra time in meditation. If you don’t have a ‘formal’ meditation practice, spend quiet time reflecting while focusing on your breath.
