All healing is self-healing: You can’t “do it” for someone else

All healing is self-healing and no matter how much you want a friend, lover or family member to heal there are just some healing journeys that you are not meant to take with or for someone else.

While it is in your control to hold space, send healing light, understand, empathize, listen and be a good friend it is not necessary, nor should you, actually do it for them.

If you’re one of those healers or empaths that takes on someone else’s pain  you may find yourself in pain and getting angry because you’re not validated for what you have done.*

*As an aside, it is not recommended you heal others in this way but it does happen. You never have to take on someone else’s pain.

What’s right for you or me is not necessarily right for someone else. Healing someone who doesn’t want to do it themselves or the same way as you do will not only lead to frustration but it’s possible that your attention and energy will be in their space.

As a being, that person might be working to empower themselves. If you try to take away their pain you are, in essence, invalidating their ability to heal themselves and it’s very likely they will become uncomfortable or angry. If they do become uncomfortable or angry it is a guarantee they will resist even the best of intentions.

In this situation, it is better to find your neutrality and heal yourself first. Seek to understand what it is within YOU that:

1. is a ‘match’ to the other person (there is always an energy within you that, at some level, matches the person you’re trying to heal)

2. wants to control someone else’s healing process. The difficulties and challenges that one person faces are very different from those of another and who is to say what internal process another person is going through.

Everyone heals in their own time…

To you it may not look like someone is healing if they are taking longer to do it than you would. Each of us makes our way as it is meant to be and the process takes as long as it takes. There is no time frame. It may take a day for one person, a week for another or a lifetime for someone else.

The most loving thing you can do is take a step back to honor and respect where someone is on their healing journey. Allow them the space to go through whatever it is they need to. There may be a very good reason they are taking their time.

It’s also important to recognize that the answer YOU found to heal a similar pain is not necessarily someone else’s answer. If you have judgement about how to do it or how long it should take, it invalidates the person AND the healing that is already in process. Take a step back to really see how much progress has been made.

Each of us must take responsibility for our own energy and healing process. Each of us has the ability to find our own answers. Heal yourself and honor the journey of others without judgement. Support and love those who are in process.

Be there to offer a kind word, a warm hug, or an ear to listen. Show or teach them how to heal with grace. The BEST way to help someone heal is to lead by example; Heal yourself. It shows others it is possible to heal and gives them permission to do the same.~Shine Your Light Debbie

Money. It's just paper...

A Book, A Coffee Cup or Money?

Money. It's just paper...

“This planet has – or rather had – a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movement of small green pieces of paper, which was odd because on the whole it wasn’t the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.”~Douglas Adams

Is there something you see in the picture that holds more value to you than the other things? Which would you rather have? A Book? A coffee cup? Money?

As I was scrolling through my Facebook feed one day I came across this picture taken by my friend Jonathan Pitts with the words “Today, through my travels, I’ve got Dollars, Euros, and Pounds at the same time. Because of that I’m reminded that they’re just paper.”

A profound statement to be sure. Although he was referring to the ‘currency’ from different countries it struck me that ALL of the items pictured are made of paper and it is merely how we think about those items that gives them value.

If you could pick just one of the items pictured which one would you pick? While we most certainly (at least I sincerely hope we) value books, surely we don’t value a coffee cup the same way. While we might think highly of both the book or coffee cup if given a choice of all three items we would, more than likely, choose the money.

Why wouldn’t we? It has the most value right? I should also ask, which currency you chose because all of them have different values.  Unless you trade currency or are a world traveler or banker, you probably picked the one that has the most value to YOU.

As of today we would have to pay $1.09 USD to buy one Euro and $1.29 USD to buy one British Pound. The British Pound is more valuable according to currency markets. You did pick the British Pound right? Value is a funny thing when we realize it’s simply a piece of paper that we, as a society or country, have assigned a value.

At one time cattle and salt were extremely valuable. They were the currency of their time. Can you imagine if your employer told you they were going to give you a cow or pay you in salt instead of a paycheck? You’d be looking for another job post-haste.

As you can see, what we value is fluid, based on our collective agreement. How we think about and judge money is what gives it value. There are those who think about money as the end all, be all and spend a great deal of time trying to attain great wealth. There are those who reject money because of what it represents to them. There are those obsessed with it and those who couldn’t care less about it.

Many people carry a great deal of judgement about money. The reality is that it is not good or bad and yet we give up a great deal of our space to what we perceive as an almighty, powerful piece of paper. In and of itself, as Jonathan pointed out, money is “just paper.”

I’m not suggesting that money doesn’t have value or that we don’t need it in today’s society to live. We certainly need it according to societal norms. This, however, is simple food for thought as I get to the real point about value as it relates to our self-worth. You knew I’d get to the point sooner or later!

Is your self-worth connected or attached to money?

Does your perceived value (self-worth) go up or down depending on how much you have in the bank? Are you a book full of talent, knowledge and stories waiting for others to see your value before you see it yourself? Are you an empty paper cup waiting for someone to fill you up?

It’s fascinating how much of our space and power we give over to those things in the physical world. If we equate our value with income or how much we have in the bank we are looking outside of ourselves. In effect we are allowing some collective agreement to dictate our value.

What if instead of attaching our self-worth to money we turned our attention within to discover our REAL value? What would it be like if we determined our value and self-worth by connecting with who we truly are instead of attaching it to pieces of paper?

All the items pictured are “just paper” and their value is fluid. It is our judgment which gives them varying degrees of value. If your self-worth is attached to anything other than the magnificent being that you are, cut the cord, take back your power and connect with that which has real value. YOU!~Shine Your Light Debbie

Get Back on the Bike!

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” ~Albert Einstein

In the early morning ‘waking hours’ when I was aware but not fully in the body I clearly saw a bicycle leaning on a concrete wall.

I was a bit confused at the seemingly random image so I asked the question “what’s the bike doing there” and the reply came quickly “get back on the bike”.

Now I should probably explain that many years ago I taught myself to do what I call ‘dream walking’. The general idea is to have awareness in my dreams so I can observe, find meaning and ask questions. The only rules are while I can observe and ask questions I can’t change the direction or outcome of the dream.

The point is to open up to a deep level of consciousness and see what I’m processing and learning. You could say I’m observing and making conscious what is usually unconscious in the dream state. One of the many benefits of ‘dream walking’ is that I remember my dreams and the answers that I receive in those dreams.

In this particular dream seeing the bike leaned up against the wall didn’t seem all that profound. There wasn’t a lot of color in the image. It was just a bike leaning on a wall in what looked like a back alley of some sort. When I asked more questions (of myself) as I observed the scene I saw ‘the bigger picture’.

Around the corner from where the bike was positioned there were beautiful vistas, countless paths, bright orange sunlight glistening on fields and mountains. Everything was wide open. I, of course, asked the next logical question, “what’s this got to do with the bike?” and again I heard “get back on the bike”.

In those early morning hours before I was fully awake I looked back and forth from the dingy alley with little to no color, to the magnificent vistas filled with light. It was only then I remembered turning into the alley, falling off my bike and then propping it against the wall.

I was standing at the corner between the alley and the path for quite some time but all I could see was the small, dirty, grey alley. Apparently I became stuck in that little alley forgetting the bike was not only there to carry me out but to make the journey easier. A bike can surely take you farther with less effort that your legs right? It was a simple yet profound answer. “Get back on the bike”.

There’s a reason for the saying if you fall off a bike get right back on. The same applies if you get stuck in a picture. You don’t have to keep staring at a grey alley with the very means to continue right in front of your eyes possibly propped up against a wall.

Sometimes it simply takes recognizing you’re a bit stuck; then all you have to do is turn your head towards the light, step out of the picture, dust yourself off and “get back on the bike.”

So many answers in those waking hours put a smile on my face. In fact I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to greet the day. I’m not sure what you have planned for your day but me, I’m getting back on the bike. Won’t you join me? Shine Your Light~Debbie

Letting Go

Grief, Sadness and Fear are a Natural Part of Letting Go

Letting Go“There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love.”~Washington Irving

I often get asked after deep reading/healing sessions if it’s “normal” to experience grief, deep sadness and fear. My answer is always the same…yes. The truth is that grief, sadness and fear are a very normal and natural part of the letting go process.

Those emotions may come up only for a moment or, if you’re releasing (letting go) of energies, beliefs, a relationship or a dream you’ve held on to for a long time, it may take some time and a growth period for the process to fully integrate. Everyone experiences letting go in a  different way and each experience will differ with each release.

Letting Go is a Process…

For whatever reason you decide to let go, be it a decision you made consciously by design or out of necessity, the moment you make the choice to let go, various emotions start to come up. Emotions are the body’s way of communicating with you and although you can clear energy instantly in spirit, the body needs time to adjust. It’s important to remember your body needs time to heal in “real-time” and letting go is a process not an event. Allow your body to process whatever emotions come up for you. Letting go can be a major life changing experience and just like grieving a loved one who has transitioned, you are grieving for the self you are leaving behind.

There’s no shame in tears!

Crying is one of the ways to cleanse, release energy and process emotions. It is your body’s natural response to overwhelming emotion.  There is no shame in crying! In fact there’s nothing better than a good cry to make you feel better.  If you feel like crying, go ahead and do so. Allow your emotions to come up. Really FEEL them. Any time you try to “control” what you’re feeling, you’re either in resistance or there’s an energy (usually someone else’s) blocking the cleansing process.

Stay With It!

When we experience overwhelming emotion the tendency is to push it away, not feel it, stop ourselves from crying. Perhaps you were told crying is a sign of weakness? Perhaps you were not allowed to cry. the ability to “be” with our emotions and just ‘let them be’ by acknowledging we are indeed feeling an intense emotion, is the first step towards letting go because we’re not in resistance.

Letting go is not giving up nor giving in! Sometimes staying with it means we have to let go of other emotions like shame, pride and ego. Other times we have to let go of feeling like a failure or trying to control and bend a situation so it fits what we want. No matter what comes up, stay with and acknowledge it because that is when you will be able to release and let go.

Grief, sadness and fear are part of the natural letting go process. It is how you handle those emotions that make the difference in how quickly you will process and move through the energy. Allow your emotions to come up, be with them, acknowledge them and then gently release. Recognize that what you are feeling is a natural part of the growth period and don’t resist. It’ll do your body good. ~Shine Your Light Debbie

Please EXcuse the exCuse’!

How many times in your life have you asked someone to excuse you? How many times have you found yourself making an excuse for yourself or someone else?

Asking to be excused is a polite way of asking to be ‘released’ from a requirement.

A few examples: when you were in school and needed to be excused from class, you brought a note from your parents. Others are when you excuse yourself for bumping into someone or you are trying to get someone’s attention when they are doing something else.

What about the other definitions? The english language  is tricky if it is not your mother tongue but it IS interesting that the same word is used to pardon or release someone (or yourself) from blame as well as to offer a “reason” for something you cannot or choose not to do.

How many times a day do you make an excuse or excuse yourself?

Who or what are you exactly excusing and to whom? Are you somehow justifying  or rationalizing something to yourself in the process? Do you find yourself making excuses for someone else? More importantly are you being truthful when you are asking to be excused or are you simply making an excuse?

When you take ownership of the things you do or say there is no need for an excuse! Ownership means taking responsibility for your actions, words, and choices and how they may have affected someone else or possibly even how the excuses (or excusing yourself) affects your life.

Being polite is not just wonderful, it’s the right thing to do. Of course we try to be polite with each other but it’s a completely different energy when we ‘make excuses’  to assign blame,  or we choose not to take ownership of a decision that we (or someone else) has consciously or unconsciously made.

Oh yes. We not only make excuses for ourselves but we make excuses for others and sometimes we do this to assign blame or avoid the truth. When we make excuses for others we are, at some level, healing them but that, my friends, is a subject for another post.

Take a deep dive into “why”!

Don’t ask why, explore why. Exploring WHY you choose a particular word,  an action (or inaction), or why you made a certain choice leads you to learning more about yourself.

Taking an inner journey to explore the “why” opens the door to forgiveness and change.

What you notice in self-exploration is not to be judged. What you did or didn’t do in the past is probably not how you would handle it now. The important steps to this are to see what you see. Acknowledge what you see. Own what you see. Forgive yourself. Taking ownership has a great deal of freedom that comes along with it.

Every thought, deed or action has a learning experience tied to it. Your awareness and ownership of the choices you make (or made) can lead you on an interesting journey of the soul. You may even find that the choices you made in the past were laid on a foundation of programming built by someone else. If that’s the case, it’s time to build your own house on a foundation of ownership and truth.

This is not about being right or wrong in a situation. It’s about owning your choices and taking responsibility for them. If you make a mistake own it and learn from it. Clear the energy. Clear the guilt. Forgive yourself. Once the light of awareness  illuminates an excuse consider it an opportunity to learn and heal.

So please excuse the excuse! Take ownership of your life and stop making excuses! If you find yourself making excuses for someone else in your life forgive them for their lack of awareness. If you make excuses for yourself, forgive yourself.

YOU have the power to transform your life. You have the power to build a foundation without the need to make excuses. If you don’t want to start now, what’s your excuse? ~Shine Your Light Debbie

The Journey of a Snowflake: Perfectly Imperfect

SnowflakesI am convinced the world today is more “complicated” than ever.

As we try to separate fact from fiction and real news from fake news we may find ourselves at odds with those who we, for the most part, agree with.

We may want the same things but don’t agree on how best to get there. When this happens it is time to remember there doesn’t have to be a “right” because what’s “right” for you, may not be what’s “right” for me.

The truth is we all have an opportunity to arrive at a “shared destination” even though we choose a different path to get there…..

“We have all heard that no two snowflakes are alike. Each snowflake takes the perfect form for the maximum efficiency and effectiveness for its journey. And while the universal force of gravity gives them a shared destination, the expansive space in the air gives each snowflake the opportunity to take their own path. They are on the same journey, but each takes a different path.

Along this gravity-driven journey, some snowflakes collide and damage each other, some collide and join together, some are influenced by wind… there are so many transitions and changes that take place along the journey of the snowflake. But, no matter what the transition, the snowflake always finds itself perfectly shaped for its journey.

I find parallels in nature to be a beautiful reflection of grand orchestration. One of these parallels is of snowflakes and us. We, too, are all headed in the same direction. We are being driven by a universal force to the same destination.

We are all individuals taking different journeys and along our journey, we sometimes bump into each other, we cross paths, we become altered… we take different physical forms. But at all times we too are 100% perfectly imperfect. At every given moment we are absolutely perfect for what is required for our journey.

I’m not perfect for your journey and you’re not perfect for my journey, but I’m perfect for my journey and you’re perfect for your journey. We’re heading to the same place, we’re taking different routes, but we’re both exactly perfect the way we are.

Think of what understanding this great orchestration could mean for relationships. Imagine interacting with others knowing that they too each share this parallel with the snowflake. Like you, they are headed to the same place and no matter what they may appear like to you, they have taken the perfect form for their journey. How strong our relationships would be if we could see and respect that we are all perfectly imperfect for our journey.”~Steve Maraboli

The important thing to remember as we move towards the same or similar goals is this; A single snowflake is considered a flurry. Snowflakes in agreement with a quiet winter night fall gently to cover the ground in a blanket of beauty. Snowflakes in agreement with the wind cause a blizzard and snowflakes who stick together in all their uniqueness can be the cause of an avalanche.

It’s also important to remember that anytime we disagree in resistance to something, we cause separation. If the goal is indeed unity the first thing we should do is to unite with ourselves; to embrace the parts which are perfectly imperfect.

Let us agree to disagree on how to get there and respect there are different paths. Recognize you are perfectly imperfect and know (and respect) that each of us has taken the perfect form for our journey.~Shine Your Light Debbie

To Heal Yourself and Others, Promise Yourself….

umbrellaToday’s post is a healing message. This morning while searching for a quote I came across a wonderful passage that truly captures self-healing as way of healing ourselves and others.

I was profoundly struck by the following words at the end; “To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but great deeds. To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.”

In order to heal others, the best thing we can do is be true to ourselves and be the best we can be. It is a commitment or promise we must make with ourselves. Here is the full passage:

Promise Yourself

“To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.”
~Christian D. Larson, Your Forces and How to Use Them

Yes! “Think well of yourself and proclaim this fact to the world not in loud words but great deeds.” Be true to yourself. Be in alignment with your goals. Love yourself in this way and heal others in the process!~Shine Your Light Debbie

Eclipse * Comet * Full Moon Trifecta!

comet-jpg__800x600_q85_cropAn Eclipse, a Comet and Full Moon walk into a celestial bar…

The air is charged as we approach a weekend of energy events this weekend. This is truly a “trifecta” for spiritual seekers and awakening souls!

As with all astrological events we can use the powerful and exciting energies to help us on our journey.

Eclipse

Starting at 5:34 P.M. eastern time, people along the east coast will be able to see a penumbral lunar eclipse, when the sun, moon and earth all align. (via Weather.com). In this case there will be a subtle “overshadowing” of the moon. Lunar eclipses signify a time of great change and upheaval. Eclipses put us on the ‘right’ path as they illuminate truth and “eclipse out” that which no longer serves us.

“Eclipses shine the bright light of truth to the part of your life that is touched by the eclipse. Most of the time, eclipses act as brilliant illuminators, revealing a condition that you were unaware existed.”~Susan Miller

We are already feeling the effects of the eclipse so find some amusement, sit back and watch events as they unfold. Sometimes, we know that we are meant to make a change but we aren’t sure what to do. Allow the energies during an eclipse to help you.

Full Moon

Full Moons rule our emotions and pour down a tremendous amount of energy. Whatever is going on in our world will be greatly amplified. When we welcome the powerful lunar energies (instead of resisting them) we can use them to clear deeply stuck energy and emotions.

During the time of a Full Moon it is appropriate to celebrate life and light and to be mindful of all that we have, and all that we have created. It is a time to be curious, to open our hearts, count our blessings and feel the connection we have with ourselves and others.

Combining the energy of the Eclipse with that of the Full Moon, we have an opportunity to embrace and accept our truths as we release anything that was hidden.

Comet 45P

The energy of a comet affects us in many ways. A comet is formed by dust (earth element), ice (water element) and gases such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide (air element) in the ancient, distant region. Then they are given energy when they pass the sun (fire element), thawing and releasing the frozen air.

Comets symbolize frozen or stuck energy deep in the abyss of our consciousness such as suppressed emotions or fear. As they warm, they release toxic gases. So too, we are able to release toxic thoughts and the more we release, the more we are able to infuse a new zest for life.

Comets re-set the energy. They inspire new thoughts and new ideas. It’s interesting to note that the Chinese refer to comets as ‘the broom star’. Although they consider them ‘bad luck’ don’t forget that brooms are for cleaning and sweeping away debris. With a clean slate, we have room to bring in more wisdom.

According to Smithsonianmag.com Comet 45P has appeared to have lost it’s tail. That’s a lot of toxic energy release! As a planet (and personally) we have also released a lot of toxic energy. We are clearly coming to an end of an era but we are also bringing in wisdom and light as we birth new thoughts and ideas.

What a wonderful time we will have this weekend as we drink from the cosmic soup to re-boot and recharge. Be sure to pay a little extra attention to your mind, body and spirit. The energy is super-charged so you might need a little extra time in meditation, or extra rest. Give your body what it needs. Happy Healing!~Shine Your Light Debbie

SIMON SAYS! It’s a control game….

simonsaysRemember the game “Simon Says” from when you were a child? Would you like to play? Come on, humor me, it’s just a fun little game.

The rules of the game are simple. You can only do what “Simon” tells you to do.

Simon says raise your left hand. Simon says put your hands on your hips. Simon says touch your toes.

Simon says touch your nose.  Simon says clap your hands. Simon says blink your eyes. Touch your head. Simon says wiggle your toes. Simon says “say HOORAH!”

Wasn’t that fun?! Did you do everything Simon said? Maybe you found it silly or maybe you simply smiled as you reconnected with a bit of your inner child. (If you didn’t play that’s ok, read on anyway.)

Now let me ask you something, did you touch your head? Did Simon say to do it? If you didn’t touch your head you get to stay in the game. If you did touch your head, you’re out. Bye. Don’t feel bad though. You were just humoring me right? It’s just a silly game….or is it?

From the time we are born we are “taught” to follow the rules, do what we’re told, mind our manners, don’t speak until we are spoken to.  We asked permission to do something or we waited for someone to tell us what to do.  Of course, this is good for children but what happens when the control programming carries over into our adult life?

The game “Simon Says” illustrates how easily we can be programmed to follow the rules and allow others to control us. Simon, the control, tells us to do something and we do it. If Simon doesn’t say it…well, we lost. We failed. We’re out of the game and effectively out of the group.

No one WANTS to lose when their FRIENDS are still playing and so, early on, we figure out that the next time we play the game, all we have to do is make sure that we listen intently to “Simon” the control. We don’t do anything unless Simon Says we should.

Do you, or did you, have a “Simon” in your life? Are you waiting for Simon to say you can DO something? Do you find yourself following the leader so you are part of a group?  Do you spend time responding to rules that may not even apply in present time?

Did you, or are you currently, following someone else’s “rules” or, more importantly, are you still following imaginary rules and playing the game therefore allowing yourself to be controlled by them? If you answered “yes” to any of those questions or you recognize there has been a control at work in your life, maybe it’s time to clear the energy.

If you’re not clear on what I’m taking about think back to a time when an authority figure said to you “Stop it! You’re out of control.” (If no one has ever said that to you, or you haven’t felt that way at some point consider yourself lucky.)

Once you remember that moment ask yourself whose control were you out of? (That’s a hint that maybe the person who said you were out of control meant you were out of their control.) When you become aware of and release the control or “Simon says” pictures that are indeed a part of all of us, you begin to heal a part of you that stops you from being who you truly are.

As you release more “Simons” and stop playing the game you find your freedom and become senior in your space. You are present and in charge as the authority and creator. You come alive with possibilities!

We’ve all allowed ourselves to be controlled or programmed at one time or another but when we start living a more awakened life, those controls hinder and instead of help. If you’re having a challenge with this…I’ll help you out. SIMON SAYS find your freedom!~Shine Your Light Debbie

Who Are You? (From the Inside Out)

dreamerImagine a world where we are more interested in learning about ourselves and others from the inside out.

A world where we are curious and aware of our heart’s desire and in turn lit up by knowing another heart’s desire.

“It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain!

I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it, or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; if you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see beauty even when it’s not pretty, every day,and if you can source your own life from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes!”

It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up, after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you, from the inside, when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.” ~Oriah Mountain Dreamer

What is your dream? What does your heart desire? What inspires you? What are you curious about? What lights up your soul? I want to know these things about you! Do you know the answers for yourself? If not, no time like the present to ask yourself those questions.

Go within and re-introduce yourself to YOU. Connect with your inner light. Be curious and by all means…Shine Your Light!~Debbie
