Earthquakes, Earth Energy, Grounding and the 1st Chakra

Earth Energy and GroundingThe earth is in a big growth period at the moment and the energy is very stirred up. You may be finding it difficult, if not near impossible, to ground, center and feel safe. The earthquakes going on around the world in recent days are indicators of a shift and release of energy.

Each of us has a connection with the earth from our first chakra. Located at the base of the spine, this energy center helps us feel safe among other things. The earth has changed and therefore our grounding must shift and change to make our first chakra and body feel safe.

If you’ve felt a bit panicky or out of whack you may be feeling the effects of your connection with the earth if you haven’t checked in with yourself in a while. Also, when the internal energy of the earth is stirred up you might be bringing in too much earth energy for your body to handle.

It is time to re-establish our connection with the earth and turn down how much earth energy we bring in so we are in alignment and present time with the earth. The Vernal Equinox is quickly approaching and it’s important to embrace and welcome our internal growth in addition to watching the earth Spring to life after a long cold winter.

Take a deep breath and bring your attention to rest behind your eyes in the center of your head. Imagine you are sitting there in the middle of a golden light. From that place notice the base of your spine where your first chakra is located. Send a simple hello from the center of your head to the base of your spine. Breathe into the warmth of the golden light as you do this. Now from an effortless place, create a connection or line of energy from the base of your spine to the center of the earth.

You may want to use an image of a tree rooted deeply into the ground. Now imagine yourself connecting with the calm, nurturing center of the planet. Feel Mother Earth’s warm embrace. Allow Mother Earth to comfort you with that connection. Breathe deeply and slowly release any stress or anxiety you’re holding on to.

Continue to acknowledge your new connection with the earth as you breathe and release. Notice if you’re feeling different with this new connection. If you’re feeling uncomfortable at any point, just breathe into it and allow whatever it is to be released. Just breathe and release.

Turn Your Earth Energy Down

Although you have established a connection with the earth to feel safe and release, you are bringing in earth energy through your feet. If you feel “buzzy” or overwhelmed it’s a good time to notice your feet connected to the ground. Set your intent to only bring in as much earth energy as you need. You may need more, you may need less so just set an overall intent to bring in as much as you need and once again notice how you’re feeling.

Gold Suns

Now that you’ve re-established your connection with the earth, released and set your intent to bring in only as much earth energy as you need, it’s time to fill up! Imagine a beautiful, joyful golden sun above your head. Bring that golden sun right in through the top of your head with the intent of filling up anywhere you released energy. You can create and bring in as many golden suns as you need or want. Fill up until you’re overflowing and bathed in golden light.

Just as you are growing and changing so too is the earth. There will be more earthquakes and weather patterns will continue to change. We are entering into an era where powerful shifts will be coming more often and if you know how to ground and re-new your connection you will be infinitely more comfortable.

The best thing about grounding is you can do it anywhere, at any time to change how you feel and bring a sense of safety to your body. Why not give it a try? ~Shine Your Light Debbie

Enter the Oasis of the Soul!

Within you lies a well of inner resources. Dipping into that well brings sweet, refreshing water to the surface bringing new life to an otherwise parched environment. Your well is an oasis and drinking from it not only refreshes you it gives you energy, hope and strength. Do you dip into your well daily or do you wait until you are parched, thirsty, dehydrated and on the brink of exhaustion? Do you wait until the searing heat of the desert sun has beat you down before realizing the oasis you’ve been searching for is already there complete with a bucket waiting for you to dip in, fill it and bring the life changing waters to the surface?

Although the desert seems barren & dusty it is full of life and can be beautiful and lush. If you’ve ever gone to the desert after it rained you will be witness to what I consider a miracle. Dormant flowers and plants rise out of the sand within days and what was once a dry, parched, brown landscape comes alive with all the colors of the rainbow.  The bright sun is no longer harsh; It is nutrition for the new shoots as they finally show themselves after a deep slumber under ground. In turn, the flowers and plants give nutrition in many ways. They bring beauty to the eyes, fragrance to the air and feed a variety of desert creatures. Yes, a bit of rain on the desert creates a new landscape teaming with life!

The sun can be scorching and water can drown you but they also have the power to heal and change your life. Isn’t it true that after days of rain, cloudy skies and gloomy winter we relish the light and heat from the sun? Isn’t it true that when the sun beats down in the heat of the summer we seek out the cooling waters of a pool or beach so we can then enjoy that same sun whose brightness and heat first caused you to put on your sunglasses and go inside? You have the light of that sun within you! You have the refreshing, cooling waters within you! Instead of walking in the desert dying of thirst and trying to get out of the sun you can use both to nourish your mind, body and spirit. Stop “walking” and “searching” and start “BEING”.

Take time each day to quiet the mind and enter the oasis of the soul where the sun shines a light on truth and brings nutrition to the spirit. Drink from your well those inner resources which, when brought to the surface, help you shine even brighter. Drink from your well creativity, strength and awareness! Drink from your well the refreshing waters of energy and hope. Enter your oasis of the soul and bask in in its lushness, eat the fruit from its trees and bring new life and great change into your life! ~Shine Your Light Debbie
