For Happiness, Peace & Ease Surrender

For Happiness and Ease Surrender! Say YES to Life!

For Happiness, Peace & Ease Surrender“Surrender to what is. Say “yes” to life — and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you.”
~Eckhart Tolle

Are you saying “yes” to life or do you find yourself fighting for happiness, peace and ease at every corner?  If you are saying “yes” to life congratulations! Carry on! However, if you find yourself in an internal struggle and you’re ready to find happiness it’s time to SURRENDER and say YES!

Surrender is the intersection between acceptance and change. Many find themselves fighting and in effort as they search for mere nuggets of happiness, peace and ease. Doesn’t it seem odd to resist and fight what “is” to reach a place of ease? Each moment that is resisted translates into a feeling of being at war and the war is not based on outside circumstances. It is wholly based on illusion and internal dialogue.

When we surrender it doesn’t mean giving up or losing. Surrender does not make us a victim of our circumstances. Surrendering means putting down our weapons of resistance, ego and control that takeover the mind.  It means accepting that which IS, letting go and moving forward.

Accepting what “IS” in present time takes our energy out of the battle and frees us. It brings a sense of ease that allows us to say YES to life again. To be sure there will always be something we can go into battle for but when we surrender and let go of the fight we have actually just won the battle! When we are fighting, in resistance or struggling, the greater the chance to get stuck.

Now, I want to make it very clear here that I’m not referring to those who have an illness and doing everything possible to fight for their lives. That is a very different kind of fight. I’m also not referring to those things we must fight for globally like human rights, truth and justice. We all must take a stand up and speak out about injustices.

I’m referring to the  battles which exist in the ego mind that imprison us. I’m talking about those internal negative dialogues which take root and cause us to constantly feel like we are fighting to become visible, worthy and valuable in the outer world.

Keep in mind surrender is not giving up. It’s just the opposite. Happiness and ease comes from being one with our life in the present moment. Being one with our life is accepting what IS then doing something about it. It’s certainly difficult to create something new if you’re stuck and in the middle of fighting a battle!

If you are at war resisting your circumstances you’ll have very little energy left for anything else. Your circumstance (or growth period) is not who you are. It is when you give up trying to fight and control every little thing that comes up that you will feel a sense of ease.

Surrender! Make love not war!!!

“Something amazing happens when we surrender and just love. We melt into another world, a realm of power already within us. The world changes when we change. the world softens when we soften. The world loves us when we choose to love the world.”~ Marianne Williamson

Are you ready to say YES to life? Surrender! Put down your resistance and weapons of war. Let go of the negative internal dialogue and love yourself. The very second you decide to let go and surrender you WIN! Everytime you say YES you choose to make love not war.~Shine Your Light Debbie

Healing Message

Say YES to What Supports You!

Healing Message“It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves.” ~Edmund Hillary

Do you say “yes” to what supports you? Are you even recognizing support as support? Most of us don’t like to ask for help and support lest we seem weak and unable to support ourselves.

The reality is when you start recognizing and saying “yes” to those people or situations that are actually supporting you and saying “no” to those that don’t you are actually taking charge and supporting yourself in the process.

The universe is here to support you!

First and foremost the universe and your very spirit is here to support you but how often have you pushed away the seemingly inane experience which might actually be the very support you’re looking for? At first this may feel a bit like taking a leap of faith but a little faith goes a long way. When you meet challenges with faith and trust that you are supported and not alone you are starting to say “yes” to yourself. Saying “yes” to yourself is you trusting yourself and then you can start saying “no” to those things which don’t support you.

When a challenge be it emotional, physical or otherwise comes your way, take a deep breath, ask for support and be aware of the support that comes your way. Support is not support if you push it away or resist it. Support is not support if you’re not aware of it. Support is also not support if you’ve created a perfect picture or illusion of what you think it should be. Be open to the possibilities that come your way.

Keep an open mind to what you are receiving. Yes, there will be people and situations that come your which don’t support you but with an open mind give yourself complete permission to say no. With every opportunity that presents itself ask yourself ‘does this support me?’ and if the answer is YES then by all means say YES.

Conquer the mountain of ego and pride!

Most often it is our ego and pride which get in the way of our saying “yes” to support. We all want to be perceived as strong but how many of us really have it all together in perfect harmony? Stop worrying about how people perceive you. Send your ego and pride on a vacation and say “no” when they get in the way.

If you were starving and someone gave you a sandwich and cup of coffee would you say ‘no this doesn’t support me’ because it’s not a steak and glass of wine? If you didn’t have any shoes and someone offered you a pair would you say ‘no this doesn’t support me’ because the shoes don’t go with my outfit?

Those may seem like ridiculous examples but if you think back to a few of the things you said no to in the past, there are probably things that are similarly ridiculous. At the time you may have said ‘no’ because your ego and pride got in the way.  Ego and pride are the little voices that say the support that presents itself somehow diminishes you.

Conquer the mountain of ego and pride by making a mindful, conscious choice to say “yes” to anything and everything that supports you! If you really did said no because it truly didn’t support you, take note of what you learned from that experience. Just make sure ego and pride don’t get in the way of saying “yes”.

The universe and spirit are here to support you. Saying “yes” to those things which support you leads you to a place of being able to receive support which in turn brings you more support. Say “yes” to that which supports you and “no” to that which doesn’t.  Take a journey in YES and see where it leads! ~Shine Your Light Debbie
